Stafford Tech Students Design Gondola for The Hub CoWorks

Students from Stafford Technical Center Present their Gondola design.

Students enrolled in the Digital Arts program at Stafford Technical Center made the trip to the Streetside Conference Room on Thursday, December 18 to pitch their design for a gondola that will live outside The Hub CoWorks starting in the Spring. These students worked collaboratively to research the branding conventions of The Hub, Chamber & Economic Development of the Rutland Region and Killington Resort, explore a variety of different inspirations including board games and comic books, sketch concepts, and then design all the various sides of the gondola in Adobe Illustrator working with templates provided by Awesome Graphics.

Members of the marketing, graphic design and sign shop teams at Killington Resort joined staff from The Hub and MKF Properties – along with the instructor and advisor of the class – to listen to the students’ presentation and engage in a discussion over lunch about their design process and the greater industry as a whole.

The students took a bit of constructive feedback back with them to put the finishing touches on their design, and we can’t wait to see the finished project become a reality in the near future!
