First Cohort of the FINSYNC CO.STARTERS Local Business Accelerator Graduates

The graduates of the first CO.STARTERS cohort at The Hub CoWorks are seated around a conference table in the Casella Room at The Hub CoWorks. One graduate in a black coat is gesturing while speaking, while the others listen attentively. A whiteboard in the background displays the word “Congratulations!!” alongside logos for SCORE, FINSYNC, and Heritage Family Credit Union. A Casella sign is mounted on the exposed brick wall. The setting captures a moment from their final session, marking the completion of the 10-week business accelerator program.

The Hub CoWorks is proud to celebrate the graduation of the first cohort of the FINSYNC CO.STARTERS Local Business Accelerated program! Over 10 weeks, a dedicated group of aspiring entrepreneurs has worked through the fundamentals of starting and growing a business, culminating in their successful completion of the program.

With sponsorship from Heritage Family Credit Union and additional support from SCORE VT, this program provided hands-on, in-person training designed to guide participants through the step-by-step process of launching a business. Graduates of this first cohort—Harper Ennis, Michael Woods, and Rick Baker—have each gained valuable insights into business development, financial management, and market positioning, setting them on a strong path toward success.

A Learning Experience Built for Entrepreneurs

Throughout the 10-week program, participants engaged in live, collaborative sessions where they:

  • Defined and refined their business ideas

  • Developed customer engagement strategies

  • Learned financial fundamentals and budgeting for business success

  • Explored marketing tactics tailored to small business growth

  • Built a network of mentors, peers, and industry professionals

To cap off the program, the final night featured an insightful presentation from the Vermont Small Business Law Center at Vermont Law and Graduate School. The session covered essential legal topics for business owners, including patents, trademarks, copyrights, and trade secrets, helping graduates understand how to protect their intellectual property and business assets.

The graduation event was made even more memorable thanks to Heritage Family Credit Union, which generously had the event catered with delicious food from Trio. To add to the celebration, Program Director Bill Lucci surprised everyone with a cake, making the evening even more special for all attendees.
