The Hub CoWorks recently hosted Heritage Family Credit Union’s Small Business Mentor Roundtable, marking the first event held in our brand-new Streetside Conference Room. This engaging event brought together aspiring entrepreneurs and a panel of seasoned mentors for a powerful discussion on navigating the challenges of starting and running a small business.
The roundtable featured an impressive lineup of local experts, including Dylan Watts, VP Commercial Lending Credit Manager at Heritage Family Credit Union; Nancy Shuttleworth, Business Advisor at the Vermont Small Business Development Center; Barbara Spaulding, Director of Grants and Outreach at the Rutland Redevelopment Authority; Brian DeClue, Lender Relations Specialist at the Vermont Small Business Development Center; and Ed Mazzella, SCORE VT Volunteer. Each mentor shared their unique insights and practical advice, providing attendees with actionable strategies and the resources available to help founders set their businesses up for success.
This collaborative event was a prime opportunity for attendees to gain valuable knowledge about topics like securing funding, legal considerations, and community resources available to help small businesses thrive. With their wealth of experience and expertise, the panelists empowered the audience to approach their business ventures with confidence and clarity.
We’re thrilled to have hosted such an impactful event and look forward to continuing to support small business development here in Rutland. Thank you to Heritage Family Credit Union for hosting the event and all of the panelists for their expertise. Stay tuned for more exciting events at The Hub CoWorks!
